Former US President also criticized the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Congress Nancy Pelosi, noting that she was “not all right with her head.”
NEW YORK, July 15. / TASS /. Former American President Donald Trump believes that countries around the world are laughing at the United States under the administration of the current head of the White House, Joe Biden. He expressed this opinion in a statement released on Thursday, in which he again criticized his opponents from the Democratic Party.
Trump, in particular, criticized the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, noting that she was “not all right with her head.” Thus, he reacted to the fragment of the forthcoming book of The Washington Post, quoted by the American media. It argues that Pelosi feared that Trump in his final days as president could unleash a war or use nuclear weapons.
According to the former American leader, he only led the country out of wars, and did not involve it in new conflicts. “In addition, it was I who returned respect to our country, whereas now the leaders of the whole world are laughing at us. They didn’t laugh at me,” the Republican concluded.
The US presidential election took place on November 3, 2020. The Electoral College on December 14 of the same year approved the results of the vote, according to which the Democrat Biden won the victory. His inauguration took place on January 20. Trump did not admit defeat for a long time and appealed to the courts with a demand for a recount of votes in a number of states. However, the actions of his lawyers were unsuccessful, their claims were rejected by the courts.
On January 6, Trump supporters stormed the Congress building to obstruct the approval of the election results for the head of state. During the riots inside the building itself, the police shot and killed the protester. In addition, there were recorded unrelated deaths of three more people, qualified as medical emergencies. After the clashes, a Capitol police officer died.
